2015 European PRO BONO Forum in Rome, Italy | Pro Bono Italia

PILNET’S 9TH ANNUAL EUROPEAN PRO BONO FORUM TOOK PLACE AMID THE BACKDROP OF THE WORST REFUGEE CRISIS SINCE WORLD WAR II.

It is therefore unsurprising that as individuals from law firms, corporations bar organizations, NGOs and law schools gathered in Rome to explore how they can best collaborate to address critical issues of social justice, their discussions turned to the refugee crisis.

Giovanni Carotenuto and Stefano Macchi di Cellere were the representatives of the Forum Host Committee.

They were involved in the following meetings:

Pro Bono in Italy II: Next Steps. Stefano Macchi di Cellere was the moderator and this session was focused on what the pro bono community in Italy should do in order to strengthen and expand the local culture of pro bono.
Pro Bono in Italy I: The Current State of Play. Giovanni Carotenuto was the moderator and this session was focused about the current state of play of pro bono in Italy.
Closing remarks. Giovanni Carotenuto and Stefano Macchi di Cellere made the closing remarks as representatives of the Forum Host Committee.
