Giovanni Carotenuto is the President of Pro Bono Italia. Since the spring of 2014, it has promoted and organized the periodic meetings of the Italian Pro Bono Roundtable and inspired the creation of Pro Bono Italia in May 2017. He represents the association at national and international events on pro bono issues, human rights and civil liberties.
Qualified before the Court of Cassation, he has been practising the legal profession for over twenty years mainly in the areas of banking and financial intermediation law, corporate/M&A, capital markets, as well as in sector litigation.
He holds a Master’s degree (LL.M.) from Queen Mary College, University of London, and is a member of the International Bar Association, the Alumni Association of Simpson Thacher and Bartlett.
